Mill Rubble

What’s left of the old mill at the Coolidge Mine, in Coolidge, Montana.  This used to be a magnificent multi-tiered mill.  It spanned over 2 acres and, at the time, 1922, was the biggest of its kind.  The mine changed hands MANY times during the late 20’s and never really recovered from the terribly corrupt owners who held the deed throughout it’s history.  It was stripped throughout the 70’s and 80’s of its beautiful shell and all we are left with is this foundation.  It’s still an amazing place to visit, but all we have left of this turn of the century mining camp are dilapidated foundations and a few photos.
